Futuristic Dreamers Critiques J.Morgan's "Human" Album

Besides the first track “Make a New Song” being a single on the album, I enjoyed the message behind the song and the chill and hella soulful instrumentals used. This track makes you feel relaxed and think less of the problems you may be facing and to take a break from the chaotic world. The verses he wrote makes you want to listen to the song again to let the message sink into your soul, after I listened to this song I listened to the song a few more times so other drivers on the road can hear REAL MUSIC they have been sleeping on! Knowing Jon as an artist I was shocked by the transition with this track he shared on his social media sites. It is a good 360 degree surprise and I am happy that he wrote this heartfelt track to share with his fans throughout the world! The second track “All I want” is still a soulful track to bump but the verses are more direct and on point with the message of what J.Morgan wants. If you haven’t watched the official video on YouTube for this track, go and check it out! The music video matches the track itself and what the song is about, which makes it even more worth watching! Besides the verses being “100” the beat is knocks and makes you want to chill out, break dance, and have a good BBQ party! The third track “News Reel” featuring Babii Cris, is another track to check out if you are all about politics, news, and an activist of something. This track transitions from a smooth track to a more truthful track that makes you want to stand up and represent what has been hidden by the media. The verses are hella truthful that it makes you think about how the media portrays stories or the world we live in, definitely a track to check out and also watch on YouTube! The beats used for this track has more of a 1960’s or 1970’s kind of feel to it and if you have an old school heart or soul you will enjoy this too! Just do me a favor and check out these two talented emcees who represent the Bay Area and San Mateo area! Then the fourth track “Human” slows down with smoother verses and instrumentals used for this track as well as sampling the Sade “I’m cryin” in the background, made this track more soulful than the last three tracks. This was the track I was waiting to play even before his album came out and it was worth the wait!!! I enjoyed the remix to this song but I also love how he slowed the track down to enjoy the verses and hook and I also love the message behind this song, J.Morgan always keeps it “100” SO DON’T SLEEP ON HIM! The fifth track “Break Out” featuring Simple Natural & Tiffany Callier has a faster tempo and rhythm on he spits his verses which makes sense based on the title of the song. Everything on this track makes you think you are crazy because you are over thinking everything you go through and that you might need to be in an institution, but the track is much deeper than you think. This track made me think about everything I face but everyone goes through a lot and we need to remember everyone is a “human” and we are all crazy in our own way. The only way to release your craziness is to “break out” and free yourself from trapping how you feel or what you think on a daily basis so this track is something to play if you feel this way. The hook and the verses from both talented artists makes the track worth listening to! The sixth track “Get Away” is a track to play after you “break out” from the crazy world we all live on, I mean it is pretty simple to think about saying you will take a short vacation, but how many actually do what they say? Take a break from making another dollar and dime to provide for their family or for themselves, it is easier said than done. So this track is to bump when you want to break out when you drive or fly on a plane to your next destination. Seventh track “Can’t Be Friends” featuring Shiesty has a grittier instrumental and is a deep track to play when you feel a certain way your current friendships and can’t stand those who pretend to “rock with you”. Now a days, we tend to regret certain people we network or become friends with and many can relate to this track. The hook and verses are on point and blunt of how many who have been taken advantage of will no longer be friends with those type of people. A good track to play when you are wandering around feeling sorry or taken advantage of by a specific individual, don’t sleep on this track! The eighth track “Cold Ones” featuring Shiesty is a more uplifting track to where you want to enjoy the night sippin’ on a cold beer or drink while partying in a friend’s backyard or even in a club! It’s a “kick back” track to just enjoy the moment with loved ones and friends you want to have a good time with. Just listen to the track and to the on-point verses of what both dope artists spit in this fun track that was recorded! The ninth track “Selfish” featuring Shiesty is deeper in its own unique way of how it was put together everything was on point from the hook, verses and the instrumentals. The hook “I get so selfish” is catchy you might end up singing the verse after listening to this track a few times, which isn’t a bad thing just means you enjoyed the catchy song! As a selfless person, I enjoy listening to this track when I don’t take the time to relax or do things for myself so this track ironically makes me feel good haha. The tenth track “Same Old Same Old” featuring Shiesty has an instrumental with an old school sample or theme that it somehow makes you want to listen to this smooth track! The title itself makes you think what they mean by “same old same old” many might be curious of what the message is behind this track! So if you smoke – light up, relax and turn up this track for the whole day! Track eleven “Believe” is another one of my favorite tracks, I mean once you listen to this whole album it will be hard to choose just one track that could be considered your “favorite”! This is a track for those who need a boost to believe again or have confidence in their dreams or future, many people need that inspiration to get back up. Even though you get back up it is hard to continue to fight for what you want to happen, but with a track like this you can see the light by J.Morgan’s light and smooth yet uplifting words that he put on this track! So be sure to check this track out if you are about dreams and goals!!! The twelfth track “Human (Remix)” which is the remix to track four, knocks the bass on this track makes you go where are the zombies at? I knock this track in my car and I have so many heads turn on who is bumpin’ that music!? I actually played this track while facing the last quarter and finals just to feel “human” and this song helped!!! This track should be played while walking dead, it would fit perfectly and if you haven’t watched the official video of this track on YouTube, GO AND CHECK IT OUT! J.Morgan rocks that SF THREADS hoodie and ugh the effects and the make up on the zombie actors and actresses were amazing! Also be sure to cop that “Human” tee shirt on JMorganmusic.com as well as a physical copy of this album! Just the speed of this track just makes you feel energized than weak like many seem to feel now a days. The last track of the album “No Time” explains and sums up how J.Morgan is as an artist, person and worker, he doesn’t “have any time to waste”. This track should be a track to bump in the morning, afternoon, evening and night to help how you think about your schedule and time during the day. Nobody really have time to waste and yet many individuals do by however they choose to, but many people who have dreams and goals need to cross off what they need to do in order to get to the top! Be sure to support the dope local artist who hella loves his fans and supporters, be real with J.Morgan and he will always keep it real with you! The mastering and mixing on all of the tracks were done perfectly and very professional! You will not be disappointed in this album at all, when I got my CD I almost broke into tears because I saw J.Morgan transitional musically and it was UNDESCRIBABLE! You will love this CD if you enjoy smooth yet real HIP-HOP!
