Questions:

Q1. I know that LB stands for Lyrical Bars, but if a curious person were to ask you what it stood for. What would you tell them?

A: When I got into music, I would make beats. For some reason I thought the word "Legit" was dope, so I called myself Legit Beatz. Everyone began calling me LB, so when I changed my name to be more of an Artist/Rapper name, I made sure to keep those initials.

Q2. What is your story behind why you write music?

A: It's my only way of being artistic. I can't draw, I TRY to sing haha, it's hard for me to actually talk to people about my feelings, so writing music became my outlet to releasing my stress and expressing myself. In every song I make, I make sure to say something that people got to think about wtf I just said haha and have them relate. It's my way of giving people advice I guess.

Q3. What do you expect the world to gain from listening to your music?

A: Positivity, motivation or in other words, the urge to turn their words into actions. I am all about just following your dreams I guess how everybody else says, but I want people to actually be about it and not just talk about it. I have met so many people that have ridiculous amounts of talents, but don't have the motivation to do anything with it. Or they just say they are too busy and every other excuse in the book. Man I am so busy too, but you have to make time for something you love to do. Especially if you don't want to go that school route because it's just not for everybody or for other reasons. I want people to live life doing something they love to do, but don't do it just for the money. I hope every song inspires people to have fun, live life to the fullest and the way THEY want to, not to please others.

Q4. I have been following you for some time now, but for those who aren't what are they missing out on?

A: I would say the versatility with my music. I make all types of songs from real life situations, love songs, "slaps", and I am now working on story telling. I believe music is an art. Just like someone can write a book on whatever he or she want, or paint whatever they want, artist can do the same with music. Even though I think talking about something you actually don't do could be a problem, because people will test you on it, I still think making up a story with situations you been in will make great music. It's ART.

Q5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years, still pursuing yourself as a hip-hop artist or doing something different?

A: An entertainer and CEO of my own record label. I worked on a skit recently about the types of friends people have and it actually went good. I got good feedback and it was my first time really acting. I know how to edit videos with the little software I have, but even when I was younger, I liked to make mini-movies with friends and edit them. Working on a new skit now, and finishing up my album, "The Elevation Process." So ya I guess an entertainer or just overall a lot of different stuff. I like to mix and master my music, but want to learn more, so I could be a music engineer, singer maybe, actor and of course a musician. Gotta keep working!

Q6. I ask all of the local artists I interview this, but if I were able to look at your iPhone or computer - What kind of genres or songs would I find?

A: Oh man haha. I like this question because people think all i listen to is rap. My dad is Mexican, but I grew up listening to rock music, heavy metal, punk, etc. so I listen to that. My mom on the other hand listens to the typical Mexican music haha. So I listen to a little bit of that. Also some electronic music, country, dance, hip-hop/rap, jazz, pop, r&b, reggae, and I think even like 2 gospels songs haha. I guess you can say, I give all types of genres the chance.

Q7. How long have you been known as a local artist?

A: I started in 2009 making beats. I really didn't take it serious until I would say almost 2 years ago when I saw people actually were waiting on me to drop a new song, new video or something. So ya.

Q8. Do you have any upcoming show or maybe some time in the near future?

A: No shows at the moment. I had done a few over the pass 3 years though. I opened up for Baeza & Roach Gigz multiple times. Also, TeeFlii, D-Lo, Andre Nickatina even though he showed up, and left haha. Smoov-e, Too $hort, but he was locked up at the time, so I guess that doesn't count haha. They just thought he would be out by then. The show was still dope, but ya. I am taking a break from shows to finish up my album and work on some skits.

Q9. Where can new followers find your music or follow you on your social media sites?
