Questions:
1. Is there a story behind you using "Ryan Lucas" as your stage name and is that your real name?
Ryan Lucas is my real first and middle name. Ryan means "kingly" and Lucas means "bearer of light".
2. Do you have any upcoming shows or a tour maybe coming up?
A: I am always performing around the LA area. Outside of LA I do have a show coming up in Berkeley, CA March 9th at 44 Restaurant, Bar and Grille. I will be performing at the Black Vine Showcase in Austin Texas during the SXSW Festival as well March 19th.
3. After listening to your album it seems like your studio sessions are pretty fun - How would you describe your studio sessions?
A: The studio sessions are like soccer games during recess in 7th grade. Lots of fun but we had a goal to reach so we worked together to score a completed album.
4. What do you expect your audience or current fans to get from listening to your music?
A: A colorful perspective on people relating to each other.
5. Where do you see yourself in five years from now, still performing?
A: Yes, still performing, touring the world with new sounds.
6. What was your reaction when hella followers on Instagram were feeling your new album?
A: Grateful. I knew it was a great project. It's reassuring when others think the same.
7. I have been recently promoting you and following you for some time now, but for those not following what are they missing out on?
A: First of all, thank you for promoting me. Secondly, those who have not heard the music are missing out on creative groove, substance, and fun.
8. I ask all of the local artists I interview, but if I were able to look at your iPhone's playlist or computer's library - What kind of genres or songs would I find?
A: Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Pop, EDM, Rock and Gospel.
