Questions:
1. What made you want to be a local artist - Anyone inspire you to pursue this dream?
A: Well i never wanted to be a "local artist". Ive always wanted to be heard. growing up in a loud east coast family being heard didn't always happen so its a need for me. I also always wanted to be someone who's voice inspired change. its what led me to music but also teaching (was a teacher for 10 years)
I was inspired by lots of artist but also my parents. artist like tribe, black star, project blowed, jimmi hendrix, muddy waters, sam cooke and many more
2. How did you come across the stage name "Mic Flont"?
A: DJ showbot gave it to me during the days of my first crew mind movers
3. What do you expect your audience or current fans to get from listening to your music?
A: I expect them to get what ever it is they may need out of it. I put hella layers into a song. what i mean by that is there is a surface layer with things the casual listener is going to pick up on, then there is a second layer for those who really listen to the lyrics.then i have a third layer for those who really study lyrics and their origins.
4. Where do you see yourself in five years from now, still performing?
A: I see myself and my crew OTOW GANG taking over the world!
5. Do you have any upcoming shows or tour coming up?
A: Right now I'm in the midst of setting up three spring tours with three different major artist. can't say anything till they are announced tho.
6. What was your reaction after meeting me at the Station (Seattle Coffee Shop)?
A: I hope this girl pursues life as a hip hop promoter/journalist cuz she has talent and a love for it. Nothing more fulfilling than creating your own path.
7. I have been promoting and following you for sometime now, but for those not following what are they missing out on?
A: I say this….if you've never seen me or my squad just come check out a show….its an experience and i promise you will walk away smiling!
8. I ask all of the local artists I interview, but if I were to look at your iPhone's music playlist or computer's library - What kind of genres or songs would I find?
A: Everything! i started as a DJ so my taste is very eclectic. I like everything from jazz, funk, rock, hip hop, metal, R&B, blues and all sorts of cultural music.
9. Where can new followers find your music and follow you on your social media sites?
