Questions:
1. What made you want to be a local artist - Anyone inspire you to pursue this dream?
A: First I want to thank you for this opportunity to be a part of your interview. Friends of mine convinced me that I should sing my own music and try to be my own artist. I was writing my own songs, doing my own recording and production and really wanted to be behind the scenes and write for other people instead of being the front man. But as time went on I decided I wanted to be an all around artist who can do it all. I’m still learning how to be a performer. lol
2. Do you have any upcoming shows or a tour maybe coming up?
A: As of now I’m doing little gigs here and there around Los Angeles. I’m working on putting a show together in a month. In the future I would like to tour all around the states and as well as over seas. But I don’t think enough people know me for that to happen right now. lol
3. After listening to your EP it seems like your studio sessions were pretty passionate - How would you describe your studio sessions?
A: I would describe them as long, lol, because I’m a perfectionist. My focus to capture the message and emotion of what I wanted to put out to the world took some time. The session I had to create “Marry Me” took a while because I wanted it to be perfect for someones wedding or that moment they proposed. I’ve learned that when you want to create anything you have to trust the process.
4. What do you expect your audience or current fans to get from listening to your music?
A: Asense of what love may feel like. Even if listeners have never been in love before I would hope they could walk away with an emotional idea of what it’s like. The biggest lack in music, in my opinion, is love. And not just falling in love but love for yourself and teaching others how to. That’s what I focused on for this EP. But also for listeners to hear a soul sound over multiple genres and the stories of the different sides of love.
5. Where do you see yourself in five years from now, still performing? Or settling down to raise a family with your girlfriend or wife? (By the way you guys are hella cute together).
A: I see myself doing music full time, writing, producing, singing for other artists as well as myself and for films and TV shows. Traveling and dabbling in other industries. Raising a family with my girlfriend, aka future wifey. Which I am working on getting a ring. lol When you have a good woman you need to cherish, nurture, and value you that relationship and thats what I have. Thank you for the cute compliment. lol
6. What was your reaction when hella followers on Instagram were feeling your new EP?
A: It was great! I was surprised. It was a blessing to see that people took the time to listen to the EP. Just the fact that people were posting and supporting on IG meant the world to me. It makes me happy to know that my music is being heard and I’m blessed for every play a song gets.
7. I've recently began promoting you and following you for a little bit now, but for those not following what are they missing out on?
A: The message I represent which is love, positivity and happiness. Also a little latin boy with a soulful sound. lol I feel they may be missing out on good music and an artist thats down to earth and wants to connect with his fans.
8. I ask all of the local artists I interview, but if I were able to look at your iPhone's playlist or computer's library - What kind of genres or songs would I find?
A: Lol I listen to everything except country. The genre of music has great story telling but it’s just not in my playlist. You would find music from R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz, Folk, Pop, latin music, World music from Africa and India, as well as EDM and Alternative. I find inspiration from all types of music. lol
