Questions:
1. How would you define yourself as a local artist/ producer? And did anyone inspire you to pursue this dream? A: I don't really know that I'm a local artist even though I'm mostly known for living in New York. I've been very lucky to connect with fans across the world and there would definitely be people who inspired me to do what I do. Most of the artists who were producing very thro hip hop in the eighties and nineties.
2. How did you come across the name -"Loopwhole Beats"? A: When I came up with the name Loopwhole beats, I had already been producing hip hop music and I just wanted to start new. One day I just woke up, thought of it... and it sounded right, I guess. But there's definitely something in the name because all my music is sample-based and loop based
3. What do you expect your audience or current fans to get from listening to your music?
A: Hopefully they can just get some good music and good vinyl.
4. Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
A: In five years, hopefully I can still be doing the same thing but with an expanded fan base. Everything is good at the moment and I wouldn't change much.
5. Do you have any upcoming projects that you might currently be working on?
A: I just finished up releasing "Newyorkism part 2" on vinyl. I'm also working on a new vinyl with Eastkoast. We have almost completed this project and it should be released later this year, also the third installment of NewYorkisms (part 3) will be released this summer on vinyl as well. I'm also in producing several albums for other New York City based artists such as C-Rayz-Walz and Jemini The Gifted One.
6. Do you remember how we began networking on Instagram? A: I'm not exactly sure how we connected in the first place but appreciate that you have always shown mad support, and showed a lot of love, much respect!
7. I have been promoting and following you for a while now, but for those not following what are they missing out on?
A: Well, if you're into current rap culture you might not be very interested haha. Definitely my production and vinyl projects are very reminiscent of days long past. If you are into original boom-bap and sample-based production like how it used to be before everyone had very easy and unlimited access to making music... you might want to check me out.
8. I ask all of the local artists I interview, but if I were to look at your iPhone's music playlist or computer's library - What kind of genres or songs would I find?
A: Most likely a mixture of 90'S New York based hip hop, 70s funk and soul, and possibly some Library music.
9. Where can new followers find your music and follow you on your social media sites?
A: Best place to find me is Instagram @loopwholebeats_newyorkism_ii or on www.YouTube.com/loopwholebeats but you can definitely find me on the internet, I'm around.
