Questions:
Q1. I know what ILAM Hip-Hop stands for but for those who don't follow you, can you explain what that stands for and means? A: Sure, it stands for Independent Like A M#fuka. We know it's the "cool" thing to claim to be independent in music now, but we truly are Independent and do everything in house. We own and operate our own music media company www.408inc.com which is behind a lot of wonderful tours you all have probably attended. Q2. I have been following you for some time now, but for those who aren't what are they missing out on? A: Two absolute Rap Gods. Hahaha J/K - but honestly they are missing out on that classic sound, that honest, in your face no co-sign needed hip hop. The shit that makes you feel good and remember that there is still raw underground music. And a live performance to go home talking about. Q3. I hella enjoyed listening to "Break Away" featuring Wildcard what inspired you guys to write and share that track with the world? A: Thank you. Really the struggle it takes to break out in this industry. The talent some have is amazing and some still will never get their time to shine. When you listen to that record, you feel it because it's coming from 3 talented individuals who've toured the country numerous times and are still fighting to get the props they deserve. Q4. How long have you guys been in the music industry? A: Playa Rae since 1998 and Trey C about 10 years but we never say we're in the music industry because they honestly don't give a fuck about two little guys like us and to be truthful we don't give two shits about them and their red carpets either.
Q5. What do you expect your the world and your fans to gain from listening to your music? A: Motivation to be independent in whatever they do in life. Relatable content and confidence to stand on their own two feet. Q6. I ask all of the local artists I interview, but if I were able to look at your iPhone or computer - What kind of genres or songs would I find? A: On Trey's you'd find 90's hip hop and 90's r&b...and on Playa Rae's Classic Rock, Tech N9ne and a lot of Kevin Gates. Q7. I was hella excited to see you guys when you guys were suppose to perform in Seattle, when do you think you will be back in Washington? A: Yea that really sucked we had to cancel. We'll be back in 2016 on a bigger tour for sure though.
Q8. Where can your new followers find your music or follow you guys on your social media sites? A: Our website: www.Monstaville.biz Facebook: www.facebook.com/ilamhiphop Instagram: www.instagram.com/ilamhiphop Twitter: www.twitter.com/ilamhiphop And our music is on all digital platforms plus: Http://monstaville.bandcamp.com Www.soundcloud.com/monstavillemusic
